Pirates of the Caribbean Inspired 9" Custom Vinylmation

I arrived bright and early to the Downtown Disney parking lot around 5:20am! I was hoping to be the first in line, for not only did I want a Noah Vinylmation, but I also had my eye on one particular one-of-kind Vinylmation with an edition size of one! I was hoping that no one would arrive earlier than I would and that I would have first dibs on purchasing it! Upon arrival there were two other "VinylManiacs" ahead of me!!! But to my relief they were good friends of mine, and luckily they were not eyeing my piece! Everyone in line was there to pick up the Noah 9" Pirates of the Caribbean (POC) Custom Vinylmation, including myself!

At the last Noah Vinylmatin release (Tron), Noah was kind enough to bring donuts and coffee for all of us fans waiting in line for his release! So knowing that he would not be there in person today, I took the lead on donut duty, picking up 3 dozen donuts for everyone and anyone!

The time went by pretty fast as we waited for the store to open! The weather was nice, and everyone (despite being sleepy) was very chatty! Before we knew it, the D Street doors were open! We were aloud behind the cash wrap to get an up close and personal look and select our Noah POC Vinylmation!

The air brushing on Noah's POC 9" Vinylmation is amazing!

This is my 6th Custom One-of-a-Kind Noah Vinylmation! And I must say, I am very happy with the results! Each time Noah put's out a piece the quality and creativity improves! It's as if Noah keeps raising the bar for himself, and he has consistently out done himself every time! Each individual hand air brushed piece looked incredible! I chose the POC Vinylmation that looked like it had the most detail all around. The skull also (in my opinion) looked the meanest compared to it's brothers.

The stand dons Noah's original painting entilted "Brave Buccaneer" as it's background! Which adds for perfect scenery to accompany the 9" Vinylmation!

Again, the air brushing is my absolute favorite! The smoke blowing in the air revealing the menacing Pirate skull! When I saw the back of this particular Vinylmation, I knew immediately knew which of the 10 choices I had in front me was the one I would call my own!

The gold lining was also a nice touch! It really brought the Vinylmation and the stand together as a whole. Kudos again Noah!

The great thing about this particular event was that there were 3 other one-of-a-kind custom Vinylmations created by three new (to Vinylmation) artist! When I had first read about this event on-line on the Art of Disney parks website, I was immediately drawn to one other Vinylmation asides from Noah's! The piece was created by an artist named Scott Tolleson. I personally didn't know much about the artist prior to this event, but right away I was drawn to his piece. The colors he used were very vibrant, and the cartoon style artwork was very clean and tight! I was pretty set, prior to attending this event, that I wanted to add this particular Vinylmation to my grand collection. I told myself I would wait until I saw the Vinylmation with my own eyes before I made my final decision! I waited patiently for about seven and a half hours before I caught my first glimpse of it. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed at all! It looked even better than I had imagined! There was much more detail and color on the final product than what was shown on the artist proof comp that was shown on-line! The detail was amazing! I instantly fell in love with this piece!

Now, So I've heard (through the grape vine) Scott was under the impression that someone had quickly purchased his piece, and left. On the contrary, again, I had been there since 5:20am waiting patiently for him to arrive to make this purchase. Sonia, the manager of D Street, immediately informed me when Scott's Vinylmation had arrived. And it was purchased only moments later. I then was the first in line to meet and have my newest art piece signed by Mr. Scott Tolleson himself!

For the record, the seven plus hours I waited was well worth the wait! I was very eager to shake the hand of the man whom created such a beautiful piece of art! And when I did finally get to meet Mr. Tolleson he, like is Vinylmation, did not disappoint! Scott was very kind and took the time to have a chat with me. He gave me some cool inside tidbits about his design, including the incorporation of argyle (which is art pieces are known for) into the piece. Scott, if your reading this, thank you for being so personable and making todays venture very enjoyable. I absolutely love when an artist will take some time to talk with us collectors! It makes the overall experience much more memorable! I look forward to your upcoming Disney Vinylmation work! And I can proudly say I have Scott Telleson's first 9" custom Vinylmation creation! Thank you!

Scott's line are so crisp! It's look like a production piece. Amazing work!

The stacks of gold coins sparkling in the background, as well as the parrot on the treasure chests are definitely my favorite characteristics of this Vinylmation!

All in all, today's Pirates of the Caribbean Vinylmation release was an absolute success! I now have two more amazing Vinylmation pieces added to the collection! Time to go change to the "VinylMania Vinylmation Collection Counter"!

Thank you to Christopher "Evilos" Avalos for allowing me to use pictures he took for this post! I'm excited to see what he has in store for us VinylManiacs!

Happy Collecting!
