Duck Tales & Celebrations Vinylmation
So the VinylMania team is on the scene for today's release!
The line seems to be the longest it's been since maybe the Nightmare Before Christmas Vinylmation release.
The line seems to be the longest it's been since maybe the Nightmare Before Christmas Vinylmation release.
Apparently here on the west coast ducks are popular! Haha!
By 1pm there were plenty of Celebrations Vinylmation left. Sadly, that wasn't the case for Duck Tales, as they were flying off the shelves! As you can see in the background there were only a handful left.
Trading going on outside of D Street!
Special thank you to VinylMania staff member "The Fish" for taking time out of his day to make it down to D Street and help acquire these beauties along with snapping some photos! Your awesome!

Preview: Duffy Vinylmation, Vinylmation Bakery, More Disney Afternoon Vinylmation and Holiday 2 Easter Basket 9" Vinylmation!!!
First up, posted on Steven Miller's Blog, a mock up of the packaging for the open edition Duffy Vinylmation. Which according to Donald Ferro, developer for Vinylmation, is not scheduled to be released until the Spring of 2012. While the Mickey Mouse form will still be used for Vinylmation, this new Duffy shaped mold will be an added expansion to the Vinylmation world.
Could be interesting?
For those lucky enough to not be familiar with Duffy (haha, just kidding), here is a brief introduction:
As the story goes, Mickey Mouse was getting ready to set sail on a long sea voyage. Minnie Mouse made him a special teddy bear to take with him so he would never be lonely. Minnie presented her hand sewn bear to Mickey in a duffel bag. Mickey loved the bear and named him Duffy.
As Mickey and Duffy sailed on their journey, they visited all sorts of exciting places and make new friends along the way. At the end of their travels, they sailed back home for a wonderful reunion with Minnie.
Mickey and Duffy shared their magical memories and photos with Minnie, who was thrilled that Duffy was such a great friend and companion for Mickey.
In more news today the Official Disney Vinylmation blog has posted a preview of the the upcoming Vinylmation Bakery set:
Mickey Cupcake | Minnie Cupcake |
Marie Cupcake | Tinker Bell Cupcake |
Cheshire Cat Cupcake | And we are not really sure... Cupcake? |
Nexr is a preview of two more upcoming Disney Afternoon sets:

Goofy and Max from Disney's Goof Troop
And last, but not least, a preview of the upcoming Holiday 2 series Easter Basket 9" due out April 15th along with the Muppets 2 series:

Vinylmation Park 6 + Combo Pack
We generally like this set more than not. We particularly are not the least bit fond of the variants, but we'll save that rant for another post; as we take a look at the core 12 Vinylmation from the Park 6 series!
The Hall of Presidents Abraham Lincoln Chaser. Although he does not sport his famous hat in the Disneyland nor the Walt Disney World versions of the attraction, we think it wouldn't be good ol' Abe without it! We like this chaser! Probably are favorite Park series chaser since Pongo back in series 2.
Sonny Eclipse from Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom, WDW. He serenades you with lounge music as you enjoy your meal from one of the three bays of food you have to choose from! One of our favorite Vinylmation from this series!
Perhaps our favorite Vinylmation from the Park 6 series is Space Mountain Paris! Then again, we are partial to anything having to do with space!
Disney's Hollywood Studios Clapboard. Lights, Camera, ... Action!
A Tiki Statue from Adventureland in Magic Kingdom.
Monstro from Pinocchio, and the Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland at the Disneyland Resort.
The Norway Troll located in the Puffin's Roost shop in Norway of the World Showcase at Epcot.
The 4th installment in the Monorail Vinylmation collection, Monorail Orange.
After passing through the Walt Disney World main gate, everyone is excited to see the Purple Road Signs!
Used by castmembers that had recently painted a particular area, the famous Wet Paint Donald sign! Every once in a while these signs can still be seen around the parks, more recently featuring a mischievous Stitch instead of Donald. Inspired by the 1946 Disney animated short "Wet Paint" starring none other than Donald Duck!
Part of Chester's & Hester's Dino-Rama located within DinoLand U.S.A., Primeval Whirl is a "Mild but Wild" old-fashioned carnival roller coaster at Disney's Animal Kingdom!
All in all, another great Vinylmation Park series!
